Thanksgiving debriefing/Black Friday meltdown

This year, my family is eating very differently. I searched and searched for just the perfect dishes to serve so that everyone would feel satisfied by Thanksgiving dinner. Just like any meal, there were LIKES and DISLIKES.
The wild rice and bulgar stuffing was a big hit! It was sweet and savory, with golden raisins and spicy turkey sausage. The apple pear crisp a la mode was tres YUMMY! I didn't choose to share with anyone the origin of the whipped yumminess in one pot...my pregnant sis in law yelled out, "These are NOT mashed potatoes!" No, they were horseradish mashed potato turnips. Big daddy loved them, but no one else went back for seconds. haha! All in all, it went just fine.
I decided to be adventurous this year and try the madness of Black Friday. NEVER AGAIN! Bungee jumping would've been a better choice. I ended up dropping everything in my arms and running from the store, crying the whole way back home. Moral of the story: accept your limitations!
