100 Blessings

Jewish tradition tells us to look for 100 blessings each and every day. Baruch haShem, a starry night. Baruch haShem, a call from a friend. Our pastor challenged the congregation last Sunday to look for just 50 this week and if that was too overwhelming, 25 and if we found that too daunting, 10. I began to think of all the blessings in my life and I'm going to take Howard's challenge and double it. I want to find 100 blessings. This practice leads us to be in constant state of gratitude. Living this way we would move in a continual flow of gratitude and kindness. What could be better than that? Blessing is a spiritual act of affirming, of recognizing the divine in something. Bless all of creation and let all of creation bless you.
